Recovery time is almost cut in half with regular Sports Massage treatments. Athletic benefits incorporate weekly to bi-weekly treatments. Custom planned treatments will concentrate on any areas lacking including: flexibility, breathing capacity and style, range of motion in event related joints, scar tissue break down, and any chronic pain. Event or on-site Sports Massage, including pre-event and post-event techniques help athletes warm-up, stretch and warm down on location. This attention is helpful, and in some cases mandatory for the prevention of injury. On-site treatments are shorter than office visits, and differ also in intensity. Office treatments can be more intense, working deeper and concentrating on more than one specific area than an on-site treatment. The time between massage and event will be at least 24 hours after an office visit, compared to a pre-event massage, where the span between massage and event is sometimes less than 10 minutes.
